Should I water cool my ML/CFD rig and is it cheaper in the long run?

Follow the full discussion on Reddit.
Building my first ML/CFD rig (with the assistance of someone more experienced), I know that the initial cost and maintenance of a water cooled PC are higher, however in the long run will it save me money through lower energy bills and cooking my GPUs less? I would be running sims and training basically 24/7 365. To add more context I would be expecting constant performance out of the GPUs for about 2-3 years and would like to optimize my cost savings for that time frame.
