How To Train NPCs With Video? VR Badminton Project

Currently with my team we are developing a VR badminton game and we are looking for ways to train the NPCs to play as realistic as possible. We were thinking if there was a way to train the NPCs with video from real badminton players? Any help or idea is highly appreciated! Thanks in advance.
