computer vision sorting

At work I have to look at a list of numbers and then try to find those numbers by scanning through where they’re stored. I’m wondering if there’s any Machine Learning approaches I can use to significantly lower the time this takes. Like take a picture of the list so the computer knows what to look for then take a picture of where they are located and highlight where they are
